Former Exeter University Literary Fund Fellow to speak at Publishing and Writing event.

Jane Corry will be one of the main speakers at a forthcoming Publishing and Writing careers event for students on 3 March, ahead of the publication of her new book, ‘My Husband’s Wife’.

A frequent guest on BBC Radio 4 (Woman’s Hour, The Learning Curve), Radio Devon and breakfast television, Jane has had a varied career ranging from writer-in-residence at high-security male prison HMP Grendon (2007-2010), to being a journalist for numerous nationals such as The Daily Telegraph, the Times and Woman magazine. (As a journalist she trained with the Thomson graduate scheme).

Currently Jane is a frequent speaker at the Winchester Writers’ Conference and Matera Women’s Fiction Festival in Italy; she is also a life-story judge for the Koestler awards programme for prisoners and those in secure units.

Previously Jane has taught at Oxford University’s department for continuing education and lectured on the university’s MA in creative writing; she has also been a past winner of the Elizabeth Goudge award and the Vera Brittain cup.

Jane’s novel, a psychological thriller about a newly qualified lawyer finding herself strangely attracted to her client, a man accused of murder, is due to be published by Penguin on 26 May.
