Exeter has been identified as the top university in the South West of England.

College of Humanities affirms its UK-leading position in The Times and The Sunday Times Good University Guide 2017

The University of Exeter has achieved 9th position in the esteemed and influential publication, The Times and Sunday Times Good University Guide 2017

Six of the subjects taught within the College of Humanities are ranked in the top five in the UK – Art History and Visual Culture; Classics and Ancient History; Drama; English; History; and Theology and Religion. Another two subjects within the College are ranked in the top 10, consolidating our reputation as being amongst the top universities in the country for arts and humanities subjects.

Dean of the College of Humanities, Professor Andrew Thorpe commented, "These results show clearly, once again, that Exeter is a great place to study the arts and humanities. They are testament to the outstanding quality of our students, and the ability and commitment of our staff. And they show that world-class teaching and research really can combine to produce an outstanding student experience.”
