Some forty-two Empire Flying Boats were built for Imperial Airways and this is their story. Almost 100 pages cover their war service. Rather like the Merchant Navy, they served in all theatres and suffered heavy casualties. There is also a brief account of how these developed into the Sunderland flying boat. A fascinating and well told tale.
