Humanities subjects perform strongly in Complete University Guide 2021 rankings

Disciplines from the College of Humanities have reinforced their positions as being amongst the best in the UK.

Eleven of the Humanities subjects taught at the University of Exeter are in top 10 positions, including Drama and Film Studies (Drama, Dance and Cinematics category), Classics and Ancient History, and Theology and Religious Studies, who all feature in the top 5.

ArtHistory & Visual Culture (History of Art, Architecture and Design category) rose four places to number 10 in the rankings, and History improved by 3 places to number 6; languages also performed well as French, German and Iberian Languages all improved on last year’s positions.

Overall the University has 24 of the 38 subjects it offers in the top 10 in the UK. Its overall position is 12th out of 126 UK universities.
