Felicity Gee is a Lecturer in Modernism and World Cinema. She has published on avant-garde film, Japanese and Korean cinema and affect theory. She is the author of the forthcoming monograph Magic Realism: The Avant-Garde in Exile (Routledge 2019), which examines the critical inception of magic realism in the modenist avant-garde and its practical application in film. Her research loves are modernism, landscape, surrealism, history of the emotions, and film-philosophy. She has taught at both undergraduate and post-graduate level in Japan and the U.K., and currently teaches courses on film theory, film-philsophy, surrealism, critical theory, film history, and East Asian cinema. Felicity is director of the Centre for Interdisciplinary Film Research [CIFR] at Exeter. 


Usual office hours - Office 154 Queens Building -  Tuesdays  13:30-15:00; Wednesdays 09:00-10:30am  (subject to teaching schedule). No office hours Week 3 due to the London Film Festival.
