Year Abroad Destination: Italy

I studied for the whole year at the Università degli Studi di Ferrara, Italy. It was a fantastic experience and I would recommend it to anyone! One of the best parts of an Erasmus year are the friends you make; I now have friends not only from Italy but all over the world - Brazil, Vietnam, France, Sweden, Quebec. Another highlight was the evento nazionale, a national event where Erasmus groups from universities all over Italy come together in one city, which was incredible! With the social aspects aside, my experience studying in Italy made me more organised and independent. One module was so interesting and I learnt so much, it inspired the topic of my dissertation.

There is a saying: 'He who has not travelled thinks his mother is the best cook in the world' - Italy certainly reinforced this and I cannot wait to go back!
