Year Abroad Destination: The Netherlands

It’s a no brainer - while the Erasmus grant still exists, studying abroad seemed like too good an opportunity to miss. I had to seize the chance to extend my university experience at a different institution, and to live in such a great city as Amsterdam for a year, when tuition fees are wavered and maintenance given. It was a lot of fun. And academically, simply studying for an extra year allowed me to progress in my degree, gain confidence in research and writing and expand my field of knowledge. But it also helped to gain the perspective of a foreign institution with different practices and a more inter-disciplinary approach.
