A week in the life of ...

BA English (Penryn Campus)

Monday

No lectures today – a good opportunity to get started on my reading for the week. In the afternoon, I had a wander around Falmouth and then I spent the evening watching Bridesmaids with my housemates.

Tuesday

I had lectures for both my Reason and Passion and Modernism to the Contemporary modules, which were interesting and useful. Afterwards I took a break and watched an episode of Downton Abbey before cracking on with a plan for my upcoming essay.

Wednesday

Today I attended a ‘Refresh Your Maths’ Careerzone session – it’s always good to recap the basics! In the evening, I headed to Tremough Harry Potter Society’s Alchemy event and enjoyed some fun Harry Potter themed cocktails.

Thursday

Today I met up with my team members for RAD’s LOST event, which we’re competing in to raise money for Mind. Afterwards, I had my seminar for the Modernism to the Contemporary module. It was helpful to discuss our reading in more detail and share ideas with other course members.

Friday

On Friday morning, I got up and headed to my final seminar of the week (yay!), which was for Reason and Passion. After that, I headed to the library before coming home to relax.

Saturday

I had a productive Saturday, which was spent researching for upcoming essays and getting my reading done for next week. For dinner, I practiced my vegetarian cooking skills and made a delicious lentil ragu.

Sunday

This morning I walked up to Gyllyngvase Beach for a breath of fresh air and treated myself to some chips from Harbour Lights. I did a little shopping in Falmouth before coming home to work some more on my essay plans.
