Here in the College of Humanities, we have a dedicated Employability Officer who is committed to helping you explore your options, develop professionally and achieve your career aspirations. Don’t worry if you are unsure of what you might want to do – our range of events is designed to showcase different careers to you, and enable you to meet industry professionals and alumni. We also organise work placement modules and offer volunteering vacancies so that you gain experience in lots of different settings, putting you in an excellent position to pursue a wide range of career paths upon graduation. The services offered by the Humanities careers and employability team are complementary to the services offered by our central Career Zone, where you can participate in practical sessions to develop your skills; access paid internships and volunteering opportunities; explore postgraduate study options; meet prospective employers; get one-to-one advice and learn how to secure the right job for you.

On the Career Zone pages you will find a range of useful resources which will help you in researching your career- as well as learning about employment sectors you can find out about the range of additional career tools such as the eXepert scheme, offered by the University.


The careers and employability team here at the University of Exeter work with many key graduate recruiters, all of which are keen to recruit our students. Further Study
