Cultures of the Suburbs:
International Research Network

Opening in September 2011, the Leverhulme Trust funded 'Cultures of the Suburbs International Research Network' will support scholarly activities relating to the cultural life of the suburbs. The Network is a partnership between the Universities of Exeter and Kingston (UK), Witwatersrand (South Africa), Hofstra (USA), Griffith (Australia) and the National University of Ireland, Maynooth.

The project’s interests are transhistorical, international and cross-disciplinary. The Network will facilitate research, organise events, host a website, and foster collaboration between scholars, community groups, professionals and other interested parties.

To contact us email suburbs@exeter.ac.uk.

This research project is a part of the College of Humanities Visual Culture initiative.
