Our partners

The nature of digital research is highly collaborative and multi-disciplinary, and requires an agile and innovative approach, drawing on expertise from many partners and subject areas. It often opens up academic dialogue between Humanities and Science, and can bridge the gap between the academic, cultural, technical and commercial worlds.

Creative partnerships

Our digital research creates collaborative partnerships with a wide range of individuals and commercial partners. We have worked with startups and creatives through the REACT programme, including heritage technology specialists Antenna International; mobile app developers Agant and Calvium; filmmakers Rubber Republic; and educational specialists Flash of Splendour Arts.

Institutional partnerships

We work with institutional partners nationally and internationally. Our digital projects have combined expertise from Stanford University, Jadavpur University (India), University of Oxford, University of Edinburgh. We also involve partners from libraries, archives and galleries, including The National Archives, Tate, the Bibliothèque nationale de France, the Louvre, and others.

 
 

Heritage sector partnership

We have also fostered close links with key partners in the South West England region, including the Dorset County Museum, RAMM, Exeter City Football Club, and the Devon Gardens Trust, to promote the unique culture of our region, to disseminate our research and methods, and to engage with our local community.

Support from funding bodies

We have received the generous support of many funding bodies in the Arts, Humanities and Culture sectors which has enabled us to innovate and bring new digital technologies and methods to our research.

Commercial partnerships

We have links with commercial partners, including locally-based airline Flybe, and specialist virtual reality and interactive 3D visualisation company Invirt Reality.
