Reconfiguring the Canon of Twentieth Century Russian Poetry, 1991-2008

Professor Katharine Hodgson is leading a 3 year AHRC-funded research project (2010-2013) to investigate changes to the canon of twentieth-century Russian poetry in the post-Soviet period. Research will be carried out in collaboration with Dr Alexandra Smith at the University of Edinburgh, and with Joanne Shelton as the project’s full-time Associate Research Fellow, based in Exeter. The project also supports two PhD students, one at Edinburgh, and one at Exeter.

The History of the Society for Cultural Relations with the USSR, 1924–1991

In this study Dr. Emily Lygo examines the history of the Society for Cultural Relations with the Soviet Union, which developed and maintained cultural links with the USSR from 1924 to 1991.
