Extended Dissertation (SML3030)

The dissertation presents you with the opportunity to operate independently and responsibly and to take a positive and active role in their learning by producing a sustained piece of critical work. It allows you to devise your own research questions and to pursue these lines of inquiry under the guidance of an academic supervisor. You’ll develop in depth-knowledge of your chosen area, identify and pursue appropriate, subject specific questions, and expand your capacity for independent study and self-directed inquiry and research, as well as reflect on research methodologies and draft, revise and edit and extended piece of written work.
