Advanced French Language Skills (MLF3111)

30 credits

MLF3111 gives students the opportunity to develop their language skills to a very high level, while enhancing their understanding of modern and contemporary France. Translation work (in both directions) enables students to hone their skills as high-level bilinguals, and to develop further their command of grammar and lexis. Written Communication Skills are taught by Francophone staff, and train students to produce high-quality résumés and essays, while the Oral classes focus on developing further students’ speaking skills, particularly in presenting ideas and arguments, and engaging in debate. The Written and Oral classes focus on various engaging topics related to contemporary France.
