This engaging memoir was first privately published in 2003 by the author. He was an engineer lieutenant in the RCNVR who served initially with Cobalt on the triangle run. But the bulk of the book concerns his service on Qu'Appelle, particularly service for the Normandy landings and with a notable account of Skeena's grounding and sinking. Towards the end of the war he served briefly on Battler then stood by Warrior in Belfast.
