CAREY, Alan C. Sighted Sub Sank Same: The United States Navy’s Air Campaign Against the U-Boat. xx, 217p., bibliog., illus., index. Casemate, 2019. ISBN: 9781612007830.
An interesting narrative history of naval air operations from 1941 to 1945. In 1943 the USAAF transferred responsibility for ASW to the US Navy along with the transfer of B24 Liberators. This is the story of how the eight Liberator squadrons based round the Atlantic along with the growing numbers of escort carriers helped win the Battle of the Atlantic. Spoiled by many typographical errors.
