My research is centred on natural history in the early modern period, and more specifically on the ways in which natural history was researched and written. Having worked on the history of ornithology in the sixteenth and seventeenth century, I am now concentrating on Linnaeus's botanical studies in order to understand how he organised his work. I am therefore interested in information retrieval techniques, information processing practices, and the relationship between print and manuscript.
