Great War Cornish Soldier: Cornwall in the First World War

Students associated with the Institute are taking the lead in extending our knowledge of the impact of global conflict on communities and individuals in Cornwall. Emily Poole and Ellie Vale studied the tragic story of Richard Charles Graves-Sawle from mid-Cornwall who was killed on the front line November 1914. Through the use of social media they have made extracts from Richard's wartime diary available to the general public. For more information about the life of Richard Graves-Sawle, see the project website or follow "Richard" on Twitter.
