Ranked in top 100 for History in the QS World University Rankings 2011

History at Exeter has been ranked in top 100 for History in the QS World University Rankings 2011.

'History at Exeter has a number of world-leading historians, and the quality of research undertaken here is emphasized by the very high level of international citations recorded in the latest 100-top world university rankings', Henry French, Head of History.

The QS World University Ranking currently evaluates around 600 universities in the world and ranks the top 400. Six indicators are drawn together to form an international ranking of universities. In addition, rankings in five key subject areas are produced: Arts & Humanities, Engineering & IT, Life Sciences & Biomedicine, Natural Sciences, Social Sciences.

Indicators to evaluate the overall position of a university are: Academic Peer Review, Employer Review, Citations per Faculty Member, Student Faculty Ratio, International Students, and International Faculty.
