Theory and Practice of History II (HISM170)

15 credits

Every piece of historical writing has a conceptual and theoretical foundation, and the purpose of this module is to introduce you to some of the major concepts and theories employed by historians over the past century and a half. The first part of the module follows a broadly chronological sequence, enabling you to contextualise the development and application of key concepts and theories and draw connections between them. In the second half, you will have an opportunity to shape your studies to connect to your own research interests, in consultation with your classmates and the module teaching team.
