Orignally from Cologne, I spent four years at French universities, studying Applied Foreign Languages and English, completing with a Master's Degree in English at Lille University in 1991. I am also a qualified teacher (QTLS/ PGCE Plymouth University) and have taught German A'level and conducted A'level oral exams.
After working in international business in the UK for 14 years, I went on to teach at the Foreign Language Centre, where I have taught "German for Business"/ "Fast-track Beginners" and "Intermediate I and II". I have developed and taught English and German language programmes for residential educational centres in the UK and Germany, working with teachers and students of all ages.
At present, I teach German in the FLC and the Department for Modern Languages and coordinate the FLC's evening language programme. I'm an active lecturing member of the DAAD (German Academic Exchange Service) with particular interest in the methodology and didactics of teaching foreign languages and language for specific purposes.
