About us

The Foreign Language Centre at the University of Exeter is a great place to learn a language, whether for study, work or just for fun. As well as first-class learning resources, we provide excellent teaching by suitably qualified and experienced professionals, so that learning a language is both enjoyable and rewarding.

We are a member of the Association of University Language Centres, AULC.

Facilities

The FLC has a light and spacious Resource Area for self-study, with satellite TV channels in several languages, networked PCs (with swipe card printer) and a range of print and audio materials. The Resource Area is open to all current students and staff across the University, Monday - Friday 9.00 - 6.00 (term-time only).

We have a dedicated team of FLC Student Resource Assistants who are on hand to provide advice and assistance.

An online campus map is available showing the location of the Queen's Building (marked as building 11 on the map) and the Centre. Alternatively, see the interactive map of the campus.

To Queen's Building, it is about 15 minutes on foot (steeply uphill for the last part!) from Exeter St.David's train station and about 20 minutes from Exeter Central train station. If you are coming by bus from the City Centre, there is a bus stop directly opposite the building on Queen's Drive.

Parking

Free parking is available on the Campus from 18.00 hours, Monday to Friday. Please note that due to the substantial building works taking place on campus, changes are in place to car parking and traffic management. View the latest car park map.
