Programme structure
You will progress through your degree by studying modules and accumulating credits as you successfully complete them; you have to complete 120 credits per year in order to progress through the programme. Credit values are proportional to the study time allocated to a module; for example a 20-credit module will comprise roughly of 200 hours of study, both taught and in private study. You will typically study two or three modules in each of the two semesters.
Please note that the optional modules offered are subject to change depending on staff availability, timetabling and student demand.

Second year
If you are planning to study pathway A in year three then you must take California Fieldclass as a compulsory module and choose 30 credit of optional Geography modules.
If you are planning to study pathway B in year three then you must study 60 credits of optional Geography modules.
