Dr Paul Williams
I completed my PhD, entitled “Mutant Culture: The Politics of Ambivalence in Western Cultural Responses to the Nuclear Threat since 1945,” in 2005 (University of Exeter). Between 2005 and 2008 I worked in various teaching roles for the University of Plymouth, notably as Lecturer in American Studies. In 2008 I returned to the University of Exeter as a Teaching Fellow, and in 2010 I was made a Lecturer in Twentieth-Century Literature. I was awarded an AHRC Early Career Fellowship (£144,000) in 2014 for my research project Reframing the Graphic Novel.
