Dr Ruth Mather

Postdoctoral Research Associate

I joined the University of Exeter in July 2017 as a Post Doctoral Research Associate, working with Dr Simon Rennie on an AHRC-funded project to identify, analyse, and make publicly accessble poetry published in Lancashire during the Cotton Famine, 1861-1865.

Prior to joining this project I worked as a Production Executive at Bradford Literature Festival. I completed my PhD in History, which explored the connections between radical politics and home in the late eighteenth and early nineteenth centuries, at Queen Mary, University of London, in March 2017.
