Leading positions
The Centre is associated with a wide range of Literary Journals and Projects, both nationally and internationally.
- Professor Paul Young is on the Editorial Advisory Board for COVE (the Central Victorian Online Educator), H-Empire (a strand of H-Net: Humanities and Social Sciences Online), UNITAS: International Journal of Advanced Research in Literature, Culture and Society.
- Professor Regenia Gagnier is the founder and co-director of the Global Circulation Project and holds a Senior Research Fellowship at EGENIS. She is an Honorary Centenary Fellow of the English Association and Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts and Academia Europaea. She has also served as the president of BAVS and is on the International Executive Committee 2019-2025 of IAUPE (International Association of University Professors of English). She is on the editorial board of 21 scholarly journals.
- Professor John Plunkett serves on the Editorial Board for the Journal of Victorian Culture and 19: Interdisciplinary Studies in the Long Nineteenth Century.
- Professor Vike Plock is Co-Editor of Literature & History.
- Professor Angelique Richardson is on the editorial boards of the Forum for World Literature Studies, The Hardy Review and Thomas Hardy Journal. She also sits on the advisory board for Exeter's Wellcome Trust-funded Centre for Medical History and she runs the Hardy's Correspondents Project.
- Dr Jana Funke is the co-organiser of the Institute for Historical Research (IHR) History of Sexuality Seminar Series.
- Simon Rennie is the Principal Investigator for the AHRC-funded project, Lancashire Cotton Famine poetry published between 1861 and 1865.
- In 2018, Professor Patricia Zakreski and Professor Katherine Newey organised the BAVS (British Association of Victorian Studies) 2018 Annual Conference, 'Victorian Patterns,’ hosted at University of Exeter.
