Backstage Heritage Collection

The Backstage Heritage Collection was initiated in Summer 2014 by a number of technical theatre industry professionals, including Richard Pilbrow, Rob Halliday and Jim Laws, with Jon Primrose curating and managing the archive. 

The aim is to document the evolution of equipment, techniques and processes within the technical theatre industry, and to build an oral history of people working behind the scenes in theatres.

The archive can be explored at http://www.theatrecrafts.com/pages/home/archive/ as well as in various locations around the world where exhibits can be viewed. 

A small part of the collection is on display in the Drama Department's Alexander Building.
