Person, Place, Belief, Identity, Performance (DRA2074)

30 credits

Person, Place, Belief, Identity, Performance: This studio-based module engages with autoethnographic and autobiographical performance-making approaches. These are drawn from a wide-range of intellectual, reflective and performance practices. The module explores who we are, how we are shaped by the world around us and how we communicate that experience to an audience.

After a short introduction, the module equips students with an interdisciplinary 'toolkit' of approaches to creating autobiographical performances in a range of formats.  Through a supervised process, each student creates a final piece of assessed practice that engages with a specific mode of communicating with an audience.
