The Stoicism Today project started with a workshop at the University of Exeter in early October 2012, which explored the applications of Stoic philosophy for the modern day.
The project is run by an international team of academics and psychotherapists working together to explore what the ancient philosophy as a way of life, Stoicism, still has to offer today. Since 2012 the team has organised four online life-guidance programmes and three public events on Stoicism in London. The Stoicism Today 2016 public event will be held in New York City.
The project is at the centre of the impact case study (“Ancient and Modern Approaches to Wellbeing”) that Gabriele Galluzzo and David Leith are preparing for the REF 2020. More information about Stoicism Today can be found on the project's blog.
