Option modules
For all pathways options include:
- Core module from any other pathway
- Greek and Roman Ethics
- An enhanced 3rd year undergraduate special subject module
- Field courses, including those run by the British School at Rome, Italy and those run by members of the Exeter department. These courses are particularly appropriate to Alternative Histories, but not exclusive to that pathway.
- Other options may be available by negotiation.

Please note that availability of all modules is subject to timetabling constraints and that not all modules are available every year.
Assessment
Assessment is by a combination of coursework and, in the case of language modules, examination. Except in the case of Beginners and Intermediate language modules, coursework is completed by the end of the second term. You will also be required to submit a dissertation of around 20,000 words.
