Classics and Ancient History
Overview
The programme can be taken as a one-year full-time or two-year part-time programme. There are three compulsory elements: the core module applicable to the chosen pathway; a skills module in research methodology; and a 20,000 word dissertation. In addition you will take two other elements: a language module in Greek or Latin, taught at all levels from beginners to post-degree advanced level; and an option chosen from a range of choices designated for each pathway. The MA provides excellent training for PhD study.
