MA Classics and Ancient History

With specialist Pathways:
Students are encouraged to engage with a wide and diverse range of source material including art, literature, history, language and philosophy.  There are three compulsory elements: the core module applicable to the chosen pathway; a skills module in research methodology; and a 20,000 word dissertation. In addition students take two other elements: a language module in Greek or Latin, taught at all levels from beginners to post-degree advanced level; and an option chosen from a range of choices designated for each pathway. MA Ethics, Religion and Society
Explore ethical theories and debates related to politics, the environment, economics, science and sexuality.  Learn to think critically about the ethical basis of action and the relationship of ethics to social and religious contexts.  Ideal if your background is in other Humanities or Social Sciences subjects.  Also relevant for teachers, ministers and those working in public policy or other careers requiring an awareness of issues of global ethical concern humanities-pgadmissions@exeter.ac.uk
