Undergraduate student life

Enjoy the vibrant student life on our Streatham Campus where the Students’ Guild (it’s what we call our Students’ Union) is central to student life. The Students’ Guild has over 150 societies covering a vast range of activities enabling students to get fully involved with university life, which can be found on our Students’ Guild website.

The societies include arts, cultural and music based groups, as well as volunteering opportunities and academic subject based societies.

We feel that the Art Society and Photography Society in particular would complement your studies on our programme, as they would give you the opportunity to become fully immersed in your creative and academic areas of interest.

Furthermore, as the Art History and Visual Culture programme is interdisciplinary, we would also recommend that you take a look at our academic subject societies.

Being a student at Exeter

Our Streatham Campus is one of the most beautiful in the country. It offers a unique environment in which to study with lakes, parkland, woodland and gardens to enjoy throughout the year.

Streatham is also home to our new Forum project. The Forum is a stunning new £48 million centrepiece that has transformed the heart of the campus. The inspirational mix of outside and inside space includes a new Student Services Centre, refurbished library, retail and catering outlets and technology-rich learning spaces.

The forum is also home to our Student Services Centre. It is designed to make student life easier than ever before, it’s open six days a week provides a single gateway to all of our student services.

You can find out more about what life is like for students at Exeter and what support is available for you on the student life pages of the Undergraduate Study website. The website also includes student profiles and films, which give a flavour of life on campus and in Exeter and Cornwall.
