Research interests

My interests cover aspects of Egyptology, museum studies, human remains, archaeogaming, historical gender studies, and experimental archaeology.

My undergraduate dissertation, undertaken at Swansea University, examined ancient Egyptian gardens (including Hatshepsut's expedition to Punt, which brought myrrh trees and other plants back to Egypt) with a view to creating an accurate modern reconstruction of a temple garden.

My postgraduate dissertation, working with the University of Leicester, is investigating the potential of replacing contested human remains in museum collections with replicas created through additive manufacturing, using Charles Byrne (the 'Irish Giant') as a case study.
