Research interests

My interests cover aspects of Egyptology, museum studies, human remains, archaeogaming, historical gender studies, and experimental archaeology.

My undergraduate dissertation examined ancient Egyptian gardens (including Hatshepsut's expedition to Punt, which brought myrrh trees and other plants back to Egypt) with a view to creating an accurate modern reconstruction of a temple garden.

My postgraduate dissertation studies the idea of archaeologically-based video games as 'museums' - permanently preserving an archaeological location for later viewing, potentially in VR, as well as the possibility of using a digitally preserved site to monitor changes to a site.
