Introduction to Egyptian Archaeology (ARC2402)

You will gain a basic understanding of the history and archaeology of ancient Egypt from its origins to the Roman period. This module can be of use to those studying all aspects of Ancient History and the Biblical world. A chronological overview of developments over the four thousand years of Egyptian history is followed by examination of the evidence for towns and houses, burials, and places of worship, with some indication of the ideas lying behind Egyptian religion and art.
