MA English 2016

What has been the highlight of your time at Exeter?

The highlight for me was making new friends and particularly friends who share the same interests as me. Also, being able to really push myself to discover new fields of interest. Academia really challenged me, especially my group of friends. It’s been a fantastic experience!

What will you miss the most about university?

Not having to get up every morning at 9am! I will probably miss my friends the most but I hope to see them in the future.

What advice would you give to current and future students?

Try new things and get outside your comfort zone. This is something I did a few times and really learnt from the experience.

What are your plans now that you have graduated?

I am currently applying for a PhD at University of Exeter to continue my studies in English and Literary Theory.

Where do you see yourself in ten years’ time?

I hope to pursue a career in academia, in a university somewhere, teaching and continuing my studies. Helping other people learn and increasing the stones of human knowledge!
