Humanities Penryn

Humanities Penryn offers research-inspired teaching in a focused learning environment at our stunning campus in Cornwall. Our undergraduate degree programmes in English and History are delivered by internationally recognised scholars, and our students are consistently among the most satisfied in the country according to the National Student Survey.

Humanities Penryn offers single and combined honours degrees in English and History. Students enrolled on our English programme study literary and cultural theory, a range of literary forms and genres from the Renaissance to the present day and have the option to undertake creative writing with a prize-winning novelist. Our History programme, which offers a traditional basis in British, European and world history, encourages students to use history to understand the challenges posed by globalisation, ethnic conflict and scientific and environmental change. Our commitment to public history gives students the opportunity to carry out work experience within museums, galleries and similar organisations. We also offer a variety of postgraduate degrees.
